Sure, Lafayette is a suburb, but that doesn’t mean we have to eat like we are in the suburbs! “Merging urban sophistication with a relaxed attitude,” Metro is a stylish destination serving big city food. There is a huge outdoor patio, a full bar and a robust menu with appetizers that win awards. Entrees at this restaurant are more precisely called “culinary creations.”
Uniquely, Metro Lafayette is a great place for adults to have an intimate dinner or families to enjoy dinner out. The restaurant has a place for everyone - there is an active bar with adjoining bar tables, a quiet indoor space, a bright indoor modern seating area and a robust patio - one of a kind in Lafayette.
Parking is best (and free and ample) in the lot in front of Whole Foods as access to the restaurant is behind Mt. Diablo Blvd, off the parking lot.
A big shout-out to Metro for hosting our first ever Happy Valley New Resident’s Cocktail party in June 2026. The evening was complete with appetizers on the beautiful outdoor patio, oysters, a wide selection of wines and cocktails and a great time for neighbors to meet one another and connect.
Owners Jack Moore and Erika Pringsheim are very active and engaged in the community and would love to say hello to you when you stop in for lunch or dinner.
